Apple Watch Setup
Follow steps for Apple Health Setup, then continue to Apple Watch Setup
Walkingspree can read your step and activity data directly from Apple Health, so you don't have to log anything manually. Follow the four steps below to connect the two apps. It only takes a few minutes.
Step 1: Update the Walkingspree app
Open the App Store, search for Walkingspree, and tap Update if one is available. Syncing issues are often caused by an out-of-date app.
Step 2: Check your Apple Health permissions
Open the Apple Health app and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Tap Sharing, then Apps, and select Walkingspree.
Tap Turn on All so Walkingspree has permission to read your health and activity data. Your screen should look like the example below.
Step 3: Connect Apple Health in Walkingspree
Open the Walkingspree app and tap Menu (the three horizontal lines in the bottom bar), then My Devices. Select Apple Health to link it to your account.
Step 4: Sync your steps
Go to the home page and tap Sync Steps. Give it a moment to pull your activity from Apple Health. Make sure you're on a strong connection so the sync is complete.
Keeping your steps in sync
- Keep both the Walkingspree and Apple Health apps running in the background. If either app is force-closed, your steps may not sync accurately.
- Open the Walkingspree app and tap Sync Steps at least once a day so no activity is missed.
- Allow a few minutes after syncing for your steps to appear in your Walkingspree account.
