Fitbit - Quick Fix #1
If your steps aren't syncing from Fitbit to Walkingspree, try these quick troubleshooting tips!
Before you begin troubleshooting, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device so that steps can transfer from your Fitbit tracker to your Fitbit account. Also, confirm that your Fitbit tracker is properly connected to the Fitbit app on your phone. It's important to log in to the correct Fitbit account using the same Gmail address you used when setting up the Fitbit app to ensure data syncs correctly.
Step 1 - Open the Fitbit app on your mobile phone and check your step count to ensure that your Fitbit is tracking steps correctly.
Important: Walkingspree cannot sync your steps unless they are first recorded by the Fitbit app.
Step 2 - Pull down in the Fitbit app to refresh and force a sync.
Step 3 - Open the Walkingspree app with Fitbit running in the background. Tap the sync icon at the top right of the dashboard.
For best results, use a stable internet connection like Wi-Fi or 4G mobile data. If your Wi-Fi is slow or you're connected to 5G, try switching to 4G. Syncing may take up to 5 minutes, even on a stable connection.
Fitbit - Quick Fix #2 (On Desktop)
If your steps aren’t syncing from Fitbit to Walkingspree, don’t worry, it’s often due to a weakened connection between the two accounts. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1 - Log in to your Walkingspree account via the mobile app or at the Walkingspree Member Login Portal.
Step 2 - Click the dropdown icon in the top-right corner and select Devices.
Step 3 - If you see Disconnect under Fitbit, click it to reset the connection.
Step 4 - Once disconnected, click Connect and follow the prompts. Be sure to allow all requested permissions.
This works because sometimes the connection between Fitbit and Walkingspree becomes unstable. Reconnecting refreshes the link and restores syncing.
Why This Works:
Sometimes, the connection between your Fitbit and Walkingspree may become unstable. By disconnecting and reconnecting, you refresh the link, restoring the sync process.
How Step Data Flows:
Your step data first syncs from your Fitbit device to the Fitbit app or website. From there, it is transferred to the Walkingspree server, and finally, the data appears in your Walkingspree mobile app. This process ensures that your activity is accurately captured and displayed.
