How to Connect Your Fitbit Device with Walkingspree
Welcome to Walkingspree! Follow this friendly guide to connect your Fitbit device and start tracking your activity effortlessly.
Step 1: Install the Walkingspree App
- Open the Google Play Store on your mobile device.
- Search for "Walkingspree" or use this link: www.walkingspree.com/app.
- Tap Install to download and install the app.
Before You Begin
To ensure a smooth connection, please make sure:
- You have created a Fitbit account.
- Your Fitbit device is connected to your Fitbit account.
- The Fitbit app dashboard shows your step count.
- Bluetooth is turned on for your mobile device.
Connecting Your Fitbit to Walkingspree
- Open the Walkingspree App & Tap the Menu icon
- Select My Devices
- From the list of available devices, choose Fitbit and tap on the Connect button
- Tap OK to confirm that you already have a Fitbit Account
- Choose Continue with Google or enter the correct credentials you used to set up the Fitbit account
- Choose the exact Gmail account you used to create the Fitbit account
First tap Allow All to check all the boxes, then tap Allow to complete the authorization
- After a successful connection, you’ll see a confirmation message. Then tap Done to complete the process
- Finally Head to the Home page and tap on the Sync steps option on the top right corner. Give it a moment sync your steps
Syncing Data with Walkingspree
Once your Fitbit device is connected, data will sync automatically with Walkingspree throughout the day. If you want to sync instantly, tap Dashboard in the Walkingspree app to perform a manual sync.

Quick Fix 1: Steps Not Showing on Walkingspree Dashboard
If your Fitbit account is connected but steps aren’t appearing on Walkingspree, remember that data flows in this order:
Fitbit Device → Fitbit App → Walkingspree website → Walkingspree Mobile App.
Start by checking your Fitbit app or website:
- Ensure your Fitbit dashboard shows updated steps.

How to Sync Your Fitbit Steps
Option 1: Using the Fitbit Mobile App
- Open the Fitbit App.
- Tap the Account icon (circular icon in the top right corner) & ensure you are logged into the same account you connected on Walkingspree
- Go back to the Home page, tap on the Devices icon in the top left corner
- Select your Fitbit device and tap Sync Now.
Option 2: Using a Desktop Computer
- If you sync using a dongle and desktop computer, restart your computer.
- Right-click the Fitbit software icon in the lower-right taskbar.
- Select Sync Now.
- If you use a Fitbit Zip, tap the device to wake it up before syncing.
Important Reminder
If you’ve purchased a replacement Fitbit device, make sure to register it to your existing Fitbit account. Do not create a new account, as this may prevent data syncing.
