Difference Between a Team and a Club in Walkingspree
In Walkingspree, teams and clubs serve different purposes and are managed in different ways. A team is an official group created and managed at the organizational level, typically used for company-wide challenges. Teams are coordinated by your program admin, and are part of formal, structured events within your organization. In contrast, a club is a personal group that any member can create. Clubs allow you to:
Invite friends or coworkers to join
Organize your own Club Challenges
Chat and interact with members within the club
Clubs are ideal for social motivation and engagement outside of official company challenges.
Team Creation
Members cannot create teams on their own within Walkingspree. If your organization is hosting a team challenge and your program admin instructs you to contact Walkingspree for help with joining or renaming a team, you are welcome to reach out to our support team for assistance. Otherwise, all aspects of team setup, updates, and management are handled exclusively by your program admin.
How to Check Your Current Team
You can check the team you are currently on by locating the “Compare Teams” tile within the Walkingspree app. The exact location of this tile may vary depending on your company’s customized layout. If you do not see it immediately on your dashboard, you can browse through the three main sections of the app and tap “See All” to view the complete list of available tiles.
On the “Compare Teams” tile, your current team will be highlighted.
Although members cannot create teams for official challenges, you have the option to create a Club. Clubs allow you to connect with friends and colleagues and participate in Club Challenges, providing a great way to stay motivated and engaged.
