Creating and Managing Teams and Clubs in Walkingspree

Welcome to Walkingspree! Follow the steps below to create and manage teams and clubs with Walkingspree.

In Walkingspree, Teams and Clubs serve different purposes and are managed differently.

Teams

Teams are official groups created and managed by your organization. They are typically used for company-wide challenges and are managed by your Program Administrator.

Clubs

Clubs are personal groups that any Walkingspree member can create. Clubs allow you to:

• Invite friends or coworkers to join
• Organize your own Club Challenges
• Chat and interact with other club members

Clubs are a great way to connect with others and stay motivated outside of official company challenges.

Can Members Create a Team?

Members cannot create teams themselves within Walkingspree.

If your organization is hosting a team challenge and your Program Administrator asks you to contact Walkingspree for help with joining or renaming a team, our Support Team will be happy to assist.

Otherwise, team creation, updates, and management are handled by your organization's Program Administrator.

How to Check Your Current Team

You can check which team you are currently assigned to using the Compare Teams tile in the Walkingspree app.

The location of this tile may vary depending on your organization's customized app layout. If you do not see it on your dashboard.

Step 1 - Browse through the five main sections of the app. Go to the Challenges section.

Step 2 - Select Compare Teams.

Step 3 - Your current team will be highlighted in the Compare Teams tile.

Want to Create a Club and Club Challenges in Walkingspree?

Although members cannot create teams for official company challenges, you can create a Club.

Please follow the steps below to create a club.

Step 1 - Open the Walkingspree app.

Step 2 - Go to My Info and find the My Clubs tile.

Step 3 - In the My Clubs section, tap the (+) Plus icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Enter a Club Name and a short Description to let members know what your club is about.

(Optional) If you want to limit access to invited members only, select Private Club.

(Optional) Personalize your club by uploading a club image. Tap Upload Image and select a photo from your device.

Step 4 - A confirmation message will pop up. Tap OK to finalize. Your club is now live.

Step 5 - To invite colleagues to your club, go back to your club by tapping on the Invite option.

Step 6 - Search for your colleagues using their screen names. Then, select their names and tap Invite to send them a club invitation.

Once your colleagues accept the invitation, they’ll be able to join the club and participate in the challenges you create.

Launching a Club Challenge

Please follow the following steps to launch a club challenge

Step 1 - Find the “Friend Challenges” tile in the Challenges section of the Walkingspree app.

Step 2 - Tap the blue button at the bottom of the screen and select the “Add Friend Challenge” option.

Step 9 - Choose your preferred challenge type from the available options: Friends, Public Clubs, or Private Clubs.

Step 10 - On the customization screen, you can change the challenge title, set the start and end dates, and write a short description for your challenge. Once you're done, tap the “Launch Challenge” button.
