We wanted to give you a little insight into how your steps make their way from your Garmin device to your Walkingspree account. It’s quite a journey, and along the way, there are a few points where the connection can sometimes get interrupted.

Here’s the step-by-step process your data follows:

• First, every step you take is recorded by your Garmin device.
• Then, your device syncs that data to your personal Garmin account.
• Next, the step data is uploaded from your account to Garmin’s servers.
• After that, Garmin’s servers send your step count to Walkingspree’s servers.
• Finally, Walkingspree retrieves the data and updates your step count in your account.

A Little Patience Helps!
Once your steps appear in your Garmin account, it can take up to 5 minutes for them to fully sync over to Walkingspree.
