Welcome to Walkingspree! Here's a simple guide to help you connect your Garmin and start tracking your steps seamlessly.
Step 1 - Download and install the Walkingspree app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Step 2 - Open the app and go to the menu.
Step 3 - Tap on My Devices.
Step 4 - Choose Garmin from the list of available devices.
Step 5 - Tap on OK to proceed.
Step 6 - Enter your Garmin email and password to sign in.
Step 7 - Make sure the toggle for “Daily Health Stats” is turned on, then tap Save.
Step 8 - Click on Agree to confirm.
Step 9 - Tap Done to finish the setup process.
After completing the steps above, return to the Walkingspree dashboard and wait a few seconds. Your Garmin steps should now sync automatically. Walkingspree will continue to sync data from Garmin periodically throughout the day. If you'd like to manually trigger a sync, simply tap the "sync steps" option located at the top right of the page.
Troubleshooting Steps Not Showing in Walkingspree
First, check your Garmin account by opening the Garmin mobile app or visiting the Garmin desktop site. If your steps are not showing there, the issue lies between your Garmin device and Garmin itself, not with Walkingspree. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned ON to allow your device to sync properly with Garmin.
If you notice a step difference between Garmin and Walkingspree, please note that GPS-based activities (such as running) do not transfer steps to Walkingspree, as only step-based tracking is supported. Additionally, some Garmin devices rely exclusively on GPS and do not track steps at all, these devices are not compatible with Walkingspree.
