There are two symbols that may flash on your pedometer.
If it is a flashing Bi then it is the memory. If it is a rectangle with what looks like an X across it, it would be a low battery indicator. (the batteries are good for about 6 months)
The flashing Bi is a reminder to upload your steps. Your pedometer holds 41 days of memory and the flashing bi means that you have reached 41 days. Each day it loses the 41st day but as long as you are uploading regularly you are not at risk for losing any data and is more of a visual hindrance.
To remove the flashing bi:
The process to remove the flashing bi depends on the version of client app you have installed.
1. If you downloaded the client app software before February 22, 2010, then to clear the flashing bi, go to the right lower taskbar and right click on the blue oval WalkingSpree Client app icon, choose tools - clear pedometer memory. NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO A CONFIRMED UPLOAD PRIOR TO CLEARING YOUR PEDOMETER MEMORY OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR STEPS.
2. If you downloaded the client app software after February 22, 2010 (v. 2.5.2), then to clear the flashing bi, go to your Start Menu - All Programs - WalkingSpree Data Uploader - Clear Memory Tool. NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO A CONFIRMED UPLOAD PRIOR TO CLEARING YOUR PEDOMETER MEMORY OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR STEPS.
If the data was missing then this means the upload did not complete and could be due to reasons such as a connection error, network error, software failure, USB port failure, etc. In the event this happens the WalkingSpree member should try again and verify or contact customer support to help with the upload before proceeding with clearing the memory.
Hope this helps,
